A leadership development program titled “From Campus to Leadership: Developing Ethical Leadership Through the Rotary Four-Way Test” was held at Stamford University Bangladesh, bringing together university students, academics and Rotary representatives to promote ethical leadership and responsible decision-making among young people.

The program was jointly organized by the Rotary Club of Eskaton Dhaka and the Rotary Club of Gulshan Tigers, in collaboration with the Stamford University Bangladesh Business Forum.

The event began with a welcome address, followed by the National Anthem of Bangladesh. The opening session included remarks by Rtn. G. M. Sharif, President, Rotary Club of Gulshan Tigers, followed by an address from Abdul Matin, Registrar of Stamford University Bangladesh.

A keynote session was conducted by Mr. Rana D. Mazumder, Country Director, Normisjon Bangladesh, focusing on leadership and the development of responsible values among young people. The session was followed by an interactive question-and-answer segment, allowing students to engage directly with the speaker.

The program also featured special addresses by PDG AKM Shamsul Huda, Deputy Country Coordinator, Rotary International D64, Bangladesh, and Rtn. Imran Momin, Senior Coordinator, Fellowship, Rotary International D64, Bangladesh.

A central theme of the program was the Rotary Four-Way Test, which encourages individuals to consider four questions before making decisions: whether something is truthful, fair to all concerned, conducive to goodwill and better friendships, and beneficial to all concerned.

The interactive nature of the program encouraged students to connect these principles with their academic lives, relationships, teamwork and future professional responsibilities.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Rtn. Shegoofta Tarannoom Durdana, President, Rotary Club of Eskaton Dhaka, followed by the closing session and refreshments.

The organizers highlighted the importance of developing young people who combine professional competence with integrity, accountability and a commitment to serving others.

The initiative demonstrated the shared commitment of the three collaborating organizations to creating meaningful opportunities for student leadership development and ethical decision-making.
