Remembering a Visionary: Stamford University Marks 8th Death Anniversary of Its Founder Professor Dr M. A. Hannan Feroz

The 8th death anniversary of Professor Dr M. A. Hannan Feroz, the Founder, President of the Board of Trustees, and Founding Vice-Chancellor of Stamford University Bangladesh, was observed with due respect and solemnity on the university campus today.

 

To mark the day, a Qur’an recitation session was held at the university premises in the morning. Later in the afternoon, a special prayer and Milad Mahfil took place at the university auditorium, seeking eternal peace for the departed soul of the distinguished educationist.

 

The Milad Mahfil was attended by Professor Dr Md Yunus Mia, Acting Vice-Chancellor of Stamford University Bangladesh; Registrar Muhammad Abdul Matin; Chairmen of various departments; faculty members; officials; and staff.

 

Speaking at the event, the speakers paid deep tribute to Professor Dr Hannan Feroz, describing him as a visionary educationist and a pioneer in expanding higher education in Bangladesh. They remarked that Stamford University has today become one of the most reputable private universities in the country — a testament to his foresight, dedication, and leadership.

 

Reflecting on his life and contributions, the speakers said Professor Feroz was not only a teacher but also a compassionate and socially committed personality who inspired generations of young people with knowledge, morality, and patriotism.

 

A special dua was conducted by the Imam of the university mosque, praying for the eternal peace of the departed founder. Throughout the day, students, teachers, and staff members paid their respects and silently reflected on his legacy.

 

On this solemn occasion, the Stamford family fondly remembered Professor Dr M. A. Hannan Feroz and reaffirmed their commitment to fulfilling his unfinished dream — building a Bangladesh devoted to education and human welfare.
