On 14th April 2014 the Bangla New Year 1421 was celebrated at Siddeswari Campus of Stamford University Bangladesh. The day- long program started at 9 am when Prof. Dr. M.A. Hannan Feroz, Founder, Founding Vice-Chancellor and President of Stamford University Bangladesh inaugurated a procession in the campus. The use of several traditional instruments created a jovial environment in the campus.
Then, the cultural program began with the welcome speech by Mr. Mohiuddin Faruk, Convener of The Bangla New Year Observance Committee and Chairperson, Department of Film & Media, Stamford University. Dancing, singing and recitation performances by students of different departments created an ambience of Boishakhi festival. At this time several honorable members of the Board of Trustees were present including Ms Fatinaaz Feroz, Mr. AKM Enamul Haque Shameem, Mr. Zakir Hossain, Ms Tahmina Khatun and Ms Farahnaaz Feroz.
A fair was organized on this occasion and eleven stalls of several items were arranged by different departments. Fuchka, Chapati, pickles, panta and hilsa fry, traditional cakes, puffed rice items, juices from fresh fruit, commodities from cottage industries, dress and costume jewellery were on sale.
In this day-long program the Vice-Chancellor of the university, the Registrar, the Additional Registrar, the Proctor, the Chairpersons of different departments, teachers and other officials were present to grace the occasion.
