The Seminar on “Academic Programs of Private Universities: An Evaluation”, organized at Stamford University Bangladesh.
A seminar on “Academic Programs of Private Universities: An Evaluation” was held at Stamford University Bangladesh on Saturday, November 02, 2013. The Founder of Stamford University, the Founder Vice-Chancellor and President Prof. Dr. M. A. Hannan Feroz, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his speech, he affirmed that the academic goal of Stamford University Bangladesh for the year 2014-15 is to achieve higher academic excellence. Two Special Guests of the program Fatinaaz Feroz, Member, Board of Trustees and Prof. Dr. M. Feroze Ahmed, Vice-Chancellor also spoke on different aspects of academic excellence at Stamford University. They both congratulated Prof. Syed Anwarul Haq, Chairman, Department of English, for his contribution in the advancement of his department. The keynote speaker of the seminar Prof. Syed Anwarul Huq pointed out the impact of three conditions for successful implementation of Academic programs at Private universities in Bangladesh. He also suggested some measures to overcome the challenges faced by higher education program in the country. Among others present in the program were Registrar of the University, Treasurer along with teachers of English Department and members of the alumni society. The second part of the program was arranged by Stray Bird the literary and cultural forum of English Department, to accord a reception to Prof. Syed Anwarul Huq on his completion of ten years of teaching at Stamford University and thirty nine years of teaching career. All the guests greeted him for his successful performance as a teacher and presented him bouquets. The cultural program included the presentation of the ‘Address of Honor’ an evaluation of his leadership in the progress of English Department, presentation of musical instruments and songs by students, teachers and alumni society members.
